Elizabeth Mee after finally ignoring her mother’s advice of NOT going on the stage she wound up her employment law practice of umpteen years, entered the Funny Women Competition 2009, and reached the final at The Comedy Store, London.. As well as stand up she performs a character called Araminta Horse-Fitchett, a stalwart member of the Women’s Institute with her unique take on people and situations. Araminta, in her view, has many talents and the latest to be “shared” with the public are her culinary skills – sadly, she is to cooking what Delia Smith is to football commentating. Elizabeth has performed at various venues including -The Kings Head Crouch End, Leicester Square Theatre ,and Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond.
